Melanie Stevens: Unearthing the Sacred

Chess, Anyone?

With everything we’ve been inundated with this year and the fact that I chose to hide away from society for a bit by hiking a section of the Appalachian Trail, it’s been difficult to even contemplate the idea of writing. But, the other night, I had a very delayed epiphany (I’m usually faster on the draw.)

As I’ve never been one to watch or read the news with any sense of regularity, or even hardly with a rarity, I’ve been slowly trying to figure out the puzzle pieces of all that’s going on in the world and WoW! It wasn’t until the other night that I found on QAnon’s page something I had been lacking. [To clarify here, I am currently residing on the outskirts of any political party and am only, at the moment, observing, cataloguing, and finding patterns and anomalies that have emerged for clarifying purposes. Furthermore, I wholeheartedly believe that what’s happening in the world currently goes beyond the political sphere.]

To begin, I could say this curiosity (besides a natural affinity) goes back to the 2016 election in which it seriously bothered me that I had zero understanding of the opposing political stance and was therefor flummoxed when Trump won. My natural tendency is to reside somewhere in the middle with a keen understanding of all parties/relationships/subjects. It wasn’t until I chose to divert my attention away from news completely that I was able to see with clear eyes what I can only say is absolute brainwashing by the mainstream media which, in all honesty, only became apparent when this pandemic thing hit. When there’s repetitious patterns of a set narrative being said by people I once thought of as having sense, there’s a problem. When experts are dismissed because they don’t have the correct narrative, there’s a problem. When a “conspiracy theory” is dismissed because the mainstream media does one article of such extensive research – ahem… one phone call – there is a problem. When previously intelligent people start posting articles that have no basis in reality but it fits their narrative, there’s a problem. When formerly banning books was unlawful but the current censoring of everything that goes against the “correct” narrative is good, there’s a problem. When mainstream media starts posting crap like this: “You Must Not ‘Do Your Own Research’ When It Comes To Science,” there’s a problem. I could keep going, but there’s no point. Either you’ve seen it too or you’re still in the mindset that those deemed “authorities” decide your truth [see Herd Mentality.] But, truth is only ever subjective, no matter how you’ve been convinced otherwise.

But, back to my story…

All of this led me on a search to find truth, and, I’m guessing, you’ve been seeking too, on your own. It wasn’t until the other night, as mentioned earlier, that I saw QAnon’s section that clarifies how Q’s posts are coming from the inner sanctum of the White House. If you don’t know who Q is, well join the crowd. Basically, whoever it is (either Trump or someone very close to him) has been leaving clues or breadcrumbs of his next moves. I mean, this guy’s a genius. Not only is he including his “audience” (aka us) in on the game but if you know anything about chess, this guy’s already won the game. [Reminder: I’m only observing and can still appreciate the genius.]

Chess has held some intuitive significance for me the last couple of months, but I wasn’t understanding why until this. On June 28th, I was in PA on the Appalachian Trail when I came across ‘Cheshire.’ [When you’re out hiking for significant amounts of time, you are given a trail name – that was his (he was the one who finally gave me mine which was ‘Seeker.’)] First off, his name is significant to me. It was my favorite character in ‘Alice in Wonderland’ due to his elliptical conversation but also for other reasons which I won’t go into. Cheshire and I hit it off so much, that I hung out with him for 5 hours having a philosophical conversation and ending with a game of chess. It was the first time in about 3 years that I’ve played and I was the first hiker willing to play him that he’s come across. When I got home, I listened to one of Jessica Delmar’s channeled videos on Youtube in which she specifically uses the chess scene in Disney’s 1951 cartoon version of ‘Alice in Wonderland.’ A few days later, I happened to be watching ‘Edge of Wonder’ on Youtube and Ben relates a vision he had of God and the Devil currently playing a game of chess. God’s allowing the Devil to make his moves in able to wake more of the people but the game is already technically over. Now, I would not profess to say who is who in this game, for I truly don’t know – not to mention, I think there is a third player, lurking in the background. But, from what I am seeing, Trump has already won and is basically playing a cat and mouse game right now.

On a secondary political possibility, I wish to relay to you a conversation I had with my niece who is quite intuitive and increasingly developing her abilities. She had just finished doing a tarot reading for me when she mentioned that she’s been getting August 26th (2020) as being highly significant and she sees great turmoil occurring. I did a reading for her following with this date in mind and, essentially, every card was negative. As a note, I also used oracle cards and a random grab of trinkets for her reading. The following was my interpretation:

Tarot Cards: I saw many people involved (at least nationwide.) I felt that it centered around children and that whatever it was that was to happen, this would cause a domino effect of catastrophe. We are just pawns and are expendable. The thing that really came through though was that it would be a mere illusion of their achievement in creating chaos but would ultimately have the opposite effect which would cause a massive amount of people to wake up and begin questioning their reality. I was overcome with a feeling of dread and horror though. [I hope I am wrong.]

Oracle Cards: It was reiterated and enforced with the idea of being centered around children, maybe something to do with the educational system (or it would lead to people educating themselves on what’s going on.) Possibly an outside or foreign interference also. There was the stress on being in the NOW moment, meaning we have to get rid of the fear and worry and live completely focused on the present moment. These are fearful times which is why it is imperative to find our center and learn happiness in the moment. This will assist us in counteracting the negative that others seem to wish to inflict upon us.

Bowl o’ Trinkets: There seemed to be a few themes within what was drawn. Transportation was a huge one. Like, all forms of transportation. A shut down, perhaps? Possibly the grid also – electric, internet, phone systems. This would, of course, appear to be biblical or divine in nature and I got also the passage or image of Jesus multiplying the fish to feed the multitude. Meaning, whatever would be happening would be made to look like it was for our benefit but was, in reality, mere facade. Whoever is pulling the strings, as well as participating, in these calculated events is holding on by a thread. Everything’s unraveling, which means we are going to be hit with everything they’ve got. They’ve lost their grip.

[As a side note from a channeled session, and a later tarot reading, I keep getting that neither current political candidates will be either elected (Biden) or succeeded (Trump) by another. (Channelers have been saying that Trump will be the last president.) I do, however, keep having a female figure pop up, waiting in the wings. So far, that’s the only thing I’m getting about this mystery woman. Whether or not I, or my niece, have been correct on any of this will reveal itself in a couple of weeks.]

Though I said in the tarot portion that we are mere pawns and expendable – that is only the illusion of these self-stylized “puppet masters.” Francois Andre Philidor (composer and a world-renowned expert chess player from the 18th century) said “the pawns are the soul of chess.” The quote continues with “it is they themselves who form only the attack and the defense and their good or bad arrangement depends entirely on the gain or loss of the game” (Google translation.) Most of us amateur players use pawns as expendable creatures, killing them off as needed. Philidor, one of the most respected players throughout the history of chess, knew their significance – that without good positioning, they will easily become the crumbling wall, leaving the king irrefutably defenseless. So, the crux of the matter is, will we continue to be used 1. as expendable and ignorant pawns, 2. with care for not only one’s security but in defense of the ideals we hold dear, or 3. to bow out of the game all together by holding space within for love, peace, and joy to radiate from us? There’s only one here that would not be commendable.

I leave you with a reminder of a scene in The Hunger Games Series: Catching Fire (since we seem to be partaking in a Hollywood movie script which, I think, if you’ve caught all the movie references from over the years of our current times, then you too will find this appropriate.) It is a reminder of the fact that what we thought we knew, has been skewed to make it look like truth. Finding truth in our external world is going to take a lot of digging, which is why it is imperative to find our center within. The only way to truly understand what power and freedom are is to go within and learn to trust and love ourselves. It is mere illusion to believe that only others have power and that those same others can withhold or offer freedom when, in truth, it is only the individual self who can give away its power and the only one to be able to entrust another with its freedom. This is a fundamental universal truth, no matter what “they” wish to tell you to believe. When you cannot only understand this but feel and know it within your soul, is when “they” will have no power over you, for “they” will no longer matter. So, as you read through the excerpt below, understand there’s so much wisdom here to be had and, if you haven’t already, begin to ask yourself these questions – how am I viewing and treating others, whether for good or evil? who have become symbols and why? what are the motivations of each new event? why do I believe what I am told? am I choosing to only believe in things because it fits my accepted narrative? are there common threads between events and people that shouldn’t be there?

President Snow: But she has become a beacon of hope for the rebellion, and she has to be eliminated.

Plutarch Heavensbee: I agree she should die, but in the right way. At the right time. It’s moves and counter-moves, that’s all we’ve gotta look at. Katniss Everdeen is a symbol. Their Mockingjay. They think she’s one of them. We need to show them that she’s one of us. We don’t have to destroy her, just the image. Then we let the people do the rest.

President Snow: What do you propose?

Plutarch Heavensbee: Shut down the black markets, take away what little they have, then double the amount of floggings and executions, put them on TV; broadcast them live. Sow fear, more fear.

President Snow: It won’t work. Fear does not work as long as they have hope, and Katniss Everdeen is giving them hope.

Plutarch Heavensbee: She’s engaged. Make everything about that. What kind of dress she’s gonna wear? – Floggings. What’s the cake gonna look like? – Executions. Who’s gonna be there? – Fear. Blanket coverage, shove it in their faces. Show them that she’s one of us now. [Laughs] They’re gonna hate her so much they just might kill her for you.

President Snow: Brilliant.
